Science Graduate Program
The Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) and the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) offer a training and development program to recent graduates of science, natural resource management, ecology, conservation and related professions.
During the two-year program you'll undertake specific training and development activities alongside your normal project work. You’ll also have the opportunity to work at two or more DSE or DPI locations around Victoria.
The Science Graduate Program aims to:
- expose you to policy, field work and the community
- build specialist skills and training so you can develop a supported career with DSE or DPI.

Auditor-General Graduate Program
The Auditor-General Graduate Program at the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office is a one year program for graduates with a major in accounting.
The program is aimed at graduates who are eligible for membership of CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and who are interested in joining an organisation where initiative and ability are recognised and rewarded.
The program offers excellent conditions of employment, including:
- challenging assignments – as specialist auditors, you will have the chance to develop all-round audit skills, or to specialise in areas such as financial, information systems or performance auditing.
- ongoing training – there is a strong professional development program to ensure you can fully meet your professional auditing responsibilities.

Rail Engineering Graduate Program
The Rail Engineering Graduate Program (REGP) is a Department of Transport (DOT) initiative, which operates in partnership with the Private Rail Industry.
The REGP is a two year program and engineering graduates, employed by DOT in cooperation with private industry, gain direct engineering experience in a range of railway design, construction, maintenance and operating environments.
The structure of the REGP is currently being reviewed.
